AGENCY
The Valle Academy Theatrical Agency was established in 1997 and in that time we have placed our clients both children and young adults in a wide range of professional work ranging from Feature Films, Short Films Television, Commercials, Idents, Photographic Modelling, Voice Overs and West End shows.
In 2003 due to an ever-increasing demand we opened our books to Adults. We now have a selective Adult Agency and welcome the prospect of new clients.
We represent our clients to the best of our ability and make sure that each and every client is given the opportunity to be seen by all the Casting Directors.
To maximise the clients chance we recommend that they are entered into Spotlight. This is an independent casting directory and password secure website that only casting directors and the clients Agent can access. The cost of entering into Spotlight varies each year and will be announced every September. It is not compulsory to be included into Spotlight , clients photos and cvs can be held on file and will be submitted for any relevant work outside of the Spotlight link via email, but this does narrow the clients opportunities.
Professional work cannot be guaranteed but all clients will be submitted for any suitable castings/auditions.
In order to join the Agency you must have attended The Valle Academy of Performing Arts for at least one term and have been training within a drama based class, dance classes alone are not sufficient.
The Agency is sole management only,
so you cannot be represented by another agent unless prior agreement
is madewith the Agency Manager.
An up-to-date photo is a definite must and the Agency Manager organises this on a twice yearly basis with a professional photographer, when the books are opened for new clients this being in March and September. The cost of the photo session will be announced at the time of booking as this does vary.
Children under the age of 16 years and still attending school are required by law to obtain a work licence. The Agency will apply to the childs local education authority for an entertainment licence which will allow them to perform, however to support the licence parents need to provide the Agency with the following information:
A copy of the Birth Certificate
A letter from the childs Doctor stating that the child is fit and well
(This is valid for 6 months from the date of issue)
NB: Some Doctors charge for this service.
A letter from the childs school granting them time off to perform
(This is valid for 6 months from the date of issue)
A signed part 2 of the licence application form.
Templates of the Doctors and School letters are available on request from the agency or they can be downloaded.
